Recently we had the A&P show combined with the market, and admittedly it was tricky with customers having to pay the A&P entry fee of $10/pp.  We still had a good market with a background of chickens and various farm animals making an entrance.

What else is happening?

This week is a big market with lots of returning stalls, we have Long Acre Farm giving off aromas of bacon and more bacon

Boom will be cooking up a storm, along with his daughter and her vey becomingly famous sausage rolls

Get your stocks of Rood pate as they are having next week off

Verve are expanding and this week will not only have their amazing flowers, but also home grown organic veges.

Gourmet Deli will be there with her enticing selection of goodies

Nutt Ranch will be in attendance, many of you have been asking, so this week is your chance

Pedro, Koromiko Eggs, 3Cats amongst many others will also be back

Who is our Community Stall?

This week we have the Marlborough Herb Society, who always have an amazing stall, with herbs, rare herbs, herb products, and endless information on what to do with herbs.

This week we have Bridget Butters, she is a local flautist and music teacher and is looking to expand her brand into playing at events. She specializes in classical music.

Mississippi Herbs has still got a reasonable supply of asparagus this weekend. However, it's a short season and only a few more weeks before the picking ends, so don't miss the taste of spring

HOMEMADE . KIWI

That lovely time of year is almost here again and I'm now taking orders for Christmas Cakes. These cakes are all made using the old traditional recipe with lots of fruit soaked in Brandy. There are large ones, small ones, Iced and uniced.

See me at the Market to check prices and to order. Enjoy our lovely warm days. Alys

Nutt Ranch

Many of you have been asking for Nutt Ranch, so this is your chance they are attending this week.

Golden Mile

It's a busy time at Golden Mile Produce with new seasons crops being planted and Marlborough hosting lots of fun festivals and events. It was nice to meet so many new customers at the 150th A & P Show and last Sunday's annual Marlborough Garden Fete.

Strawberries are picking beautifully with some BIG sized fruit and the new seasons courgettes are always delicious. Courgettes or zucchinis are so versatile, grated or sliced, baked, grilled or pan fried. We use them in everything from cakes, loaves & muffins to quiches, fritters & stir-fry. Try cutting them in half long ways, seasoning them, drizzle with a little Marlborough olive oil and grilling in the oven or air-frier. In the last couple of minutes top with a little grated cheese.

Did you know we grow our early courgettes inside? Yes it's true! See you Sunday.

Minghetties
Minghettis will have our famous sourdough bread, treat cookies, and cinnamon rolls

SharpAS Tool Tip

Pictured is the business end of a petrol hedge trimmer. This one relies on a torque setting on the bolts for the correct tension on the blades. It is important to get this right. Too tight or too loose and it will damage the blades.

If you have one of these or any garden, wood working, or metal tools, knives or kitchen utensils that need sharpening, come and see me at the market or contact 0274445535 cheers Ron
