π₯© Salubre – Regenerative Beef from the Sounds πΏ
π½οΈ Salubre Beef, run by Pete and Sue Evans, offers delicious ready meals made with their premium regenerative beef—perfect for a hearty, no-fuss dinner after the kids’ winter sports! They’re also now offering whole beefies for groups—get 2–4 households together and share your own cattle beast. It’s an economical way to fill your freezer with exceptional-quality beef, tailored to your preferred cuts. Taste the difference in every bite! π₯©
π° Fresh hazelnuts are now available as part of a fundraiser for a local youth group, who are also working hard selling bags of dry pinecones. Every purchase helps these young legends get one step closer to attending camp—support them this Sunday and stock up while you’re at it! βΊπ₯
π All is well on Long Acre Farm! We’ve repurposed our old pig huts into cosy sheep shelters to keep the flock warm through winter. Thanks to a strong autumn, we’ve had good grass growth heading into the colder months, and with the ram having done his job, we’re looking forward to lambs on the ground come September. At the market, we’ve expanded our hot food cabinet – now serving up classic beef sausage rolls, Cornish pasties, lamb pies, and Rick’s famous cheese scones – something for everyone!
Cheers,
Rick & Nairn
π Love Thy Curry is at the market this Sunday with tastings of two delicious curries: the Goa Fish Curry (just the sauce – zingy, fresh, and coconut-based with a sweet-spicy kick), and the bold, fiery Beef Madras, rich in South Indian flavour. βοΈ With winter here, it’s slow-cooker season – and yes, their curry kits work beautifully in a slow cooker! Just add your spices and ingredients, hold off on coconut milk until the end, and let it simmer to perfection.

π₯ Minghetti’s is back this Sunday with some delicious new treats – try their Apple & Blueberry Crumble and Date & Cinnamon Cake! Plus, stock up on your favourites from their sourdough bread, pastries, and cookies selection. Baked goodness awaits! ππ«πͺ
π¨
Annette Michna-Konigstorfer, local watercolour artist and the talent behind
Snail House Bakery, won’t be at the market this Sunday – she’s attending the Watercolour New Zealand 50th Anniversary celebrations right here in Blenheim. Enjoy the event, Annette – we’ll miss your beautiful bread! ππ

π Gourmet Deli is bringing the last of the season’s strawberries this Sunday, along with their popular creamy strawberry cheesecake – just $6 a slice! Also on offer: plump eggplant halves stuffed with chargrilled veggies and melted mozzarella, and a hearty seasonal frittata made with local vegetables, herbs, and eggs – gluten-free and vegetarian. Come hungry! ππ§π₯
