Tis theseason to be jolly, tralala! We are showcasing the freshest food in Marlborough with plenty of festive cheer. The market is brimming with summer fruit, Christmas gift ideas, artisan products and every day fresh seasonal produce to nourish you through the week with joy.
This week we have a very special busker with us from Berlin who’s indie music will add to our special market atmosphere.
With only two markets remaining until Christmas, it’s time to finalise plans for the festive season. Our market stalls have great gift ideas for you. Stalls are also encouraging pre-orders for the Christmas market.
Grab your sun hat or umbrella, bags (or just buy one of ours!), reusable containers and your family for a great morning out.
It’s also your second to last chance to go in the draw for our Christmas raffle, which is drawn on the 23 December and could see you walking home with a festive Farmers Market hamper.

Berlin musician comes to the market
After finishing his Australian East Coast Tour 2018 with more than 20 gigs Wolfgang Michael is now looking forward to experiencing the natural beauties of New Zealand and continue his dream to travel with his music. He plays original Indie Folk and will be performing at the market this Sunday to share some Berlin influenced tunes based on acoustic guitar, percussion & vocals with us. How lucky are we?

This Sunday, treat yourself with our delicious cookies made with Macadamia Butter Toffee Crunch from local producer MAKANA chocolates.
Macadamia Butter Toffee Crunch is a traditional toffee made with real New Zealand butter, laced with Macadamia chips, coated with milk chocolate on both sides and dusted with macadamia fines. What a treat.
Spudz n Greens
Head over to the Dawson family for your pic of freshly dug,creamy Jersey Benne potatoes. They have also got plenty of spinach, rocket and pumpkins.
Mabel’s English Pork Pies
Try Marsley special small English Pork Pies this week and her large Gala Pie with hard-boiled eggs running through the middle of the slices. Gala Pie serves up to 16 people (depending how hungry you are!) and is available for purchase as a 2-person (or larger) wedge. She will take your pre-orders for collection at the Christmas market too. Talk to her on Sunday at the Community Stall.
Traditional Country Preserves
Margaret’s stall is laden with gifts from $10 bon-bons to any size of basket. She has prepared special Farmers Market baskets packed with a mix of local products from other producers. She can make to order but time is running out so don’t delay. See you at the Farmers market on Sunday.
Pop over to Mississippi Herbs for homemade herb vinegars. Made from unsprayed herbs steeped in organic cider vinegar and flavoured with citrus rind, they are presented in Italian bottles. Three flavours to add zing to your cooking or as a nice Christmas gift: Lemon and Thyme, Tarragon or Citrus (made with a mixture of aromatic herbs).
Gluten free, vegan, diary intolerance, nut allergies? Pedro has you covered with empanadas that are gluten free, dairy free, vegan, egg free, nut free. He even has gluten free pasta.
The Purple Patch
Colin and Judy Gray have lots or lovely sunflowers, potted callas in flower (perfect for an economical Christmas present) and the calla lilies will be at a very special Christmas price.
Brunch for the family
This week Long Acre Kitchen will be offering their ‘Saddleback bun’, made with their tender crumbed pork with free range bacon, lettuce and tomato.
Also always on the menu are old time favourites: Bacon buttie, French toast with crispy Long Acre bacon, Hedgerow strawberries and lashings of maple syrup.
Long Acre Farm has a good variety of pork cuts to get you thru the BBQ season, and impress your guests with Marlborough’s own free range pork.
Our newcomers Anne and Benoit from Craft Pate will be taking your Christmas orders this Sunday! Let them know which pate’s you’d like to grace your Christmas table, and they’ll make to order for pickup from the Christmas market next Sunday.

Annette will be back this Sunday with the her delicious European sourdough breads. There will be more Konnini wheat Wurzelbrot (rootbread) buns, breadsticks, crackers, muffins and a cake or two… OMG, here is a hint: chocolate, cherries, cream and it comes from a dark forest in Germany…
