FRUT4U @ Lowes Orchard

The summer stone fruit season is getting underway and the team at Lowes Orchard are busy picking the fruit as it ripens, sorting the fruit for sales and bringing it along to market.  We aim to have it to the market as fresh as possible!

This week we are expecting to have nectarines, peaches and strawberries available, as well as apples- Splendour, Braeburn and Pac Queen.

Don’t forget to stock up on juice for Christmas…the Apple & Boysenberry Juice is by far the most popular, followed closely by the Pink Lady Apple Juice.Watch out to see what we bring next week! See you Sunday!

Drop the BEET Cold-Pressed Juice

Drop the BEET is Blenheim’s BEST Cold-pressed juice. It is made with mostly local products, sourced right here from the Marlborough Farmers’ Market, and each juice is made by hand- with loads of aroha- by owner, Kate.

This week we will have our usual popular flavours available for purchase in our swap-a-bottles and Eco-cups over ice. We will also be taking a limited number of pre-orders for 1L bottles of juice, which will be available for pick-up at the Wednesday market. These will make a perfect addition to your Christmas breakfast or brunch! 1L bottles will cost $25, including a $2 bottle deposit.

See you Sunday!

Isobel Olives

I have a range of products suitable for Christmas gifts. Unlike a bottle of wine that may last an evening, a premium bottle of extra virgin olive oil will last for many salad dressings and dips over summer. I also have lip balms and healing balms for dry, sun damaged skin and lips and gentle olive oil based soaps. Remember to bring your dark bottle for a fill your own – I will have empty bottles available. All bottled oils are certified extra virgin and all have silver medals so you can be confident of buying premium oil

Snail House Bakery

I will be coming to market on Sunday with all the usual favourites as well as some special Christmas baking! There will be some Stollen and a few gingerbread houses if the elves get building consent in time… also more cookies… and of course the much loved sourdough breads and cherry pies!!! Come over and have a look what the Snail House Bakery has for 4th Advent Sunday treats.

David Harwood

I will have boxes of tomatoes for Christmas week, as well as fresh and frozen raspberries on Sunday. This Sunday, I will be taking orders for the Wednesday market for vine-ripened, spray-free tomatoes and frozen raspberries.

Mississippi Herbs

Mississippi Herbs will have herb gardens in a pot this week – a selection of popular herbs to grow and use without the bother of transplanting. Useful as a gift or for those without a lot of garden space. As well, there will be a good supply of larger basil plants, a popular item right now as the weather is finally on the right page!

Traditional Country Preserves

This week, we are trying to get as many products back in stock as possible in between basket orders and basket stock for the markets. We will have a few different baskets this week, plus red currants, hopefully!

Judith and Colin Gray

This week we will have really lovely sunflowers, calla lilies, lemons, plums and maybe some green and butter beans. We look forward to seeing you all at the markets this week leading up to Christmas!

Long Acre Farm

Long Acre Farm has fresh meat this week, just in time for the Christmas table… or why not stock up on our beautiful chops to put in the freezer, ready to throw on the BBQ at any time?! Rick has prepared a number of loin roasts- a prime piece of meat, smaller in size and delicious. There will be something for everyone, see you Sunday!

Delicia Craft Gelato

The forecast 24 °degrees is calling for a craft gelato treat.
Did you know that we make all our gelato in Blenheim to our recipe?

Stop by for a refreshing gelato or sorbet.  All gluten free.

We have normal and gluten free cones and the  sorbets are totally dairy free.

It’s also time to think about adding gelato to your holiday menu. Did you know that we have 18 flavours, and even make Keto gelato? Come and ask us about your options, and order a family tub to pick up from the Christmas market.

See you Sunday.

Pedro’s Empanadas

Pedro will have fresh cocktail empanadas for Christmas. They take 8 to 10 min in the oven. We will have venison, chicken, beef, vegan pumpkin, and refried beans. These delicious empanadas cost only $10 per dozen!!

Hogarth Chocolate

A big, warm welcome to Karl and Marina from Hogarth Chocolate!!! This is their first market and we are very excited to have them on board.

Karl and Marina ethically trade premium cocoa beans from around the world and make their bean to bar chocolate in Nelson sourcing organic and fair-trade ingredients and and local when possible. (we use Marlborough walnuts and hazelnuts for our products too!)

Head to their stall, support their beautiful business, and enjoy their delicious chocolate (perhaps buy a couple extra for stocking stuffers too!)
