Your Weekly Guide to the Marlborough Farmers’ Market…
This week we join Farmers’ Markets across New Zealand in celebrating NZ National Farmers’ Market Week from 6 – 13 April 2019.
We have heaps of fun activities for you and the kids, as well as giveaways and prizes.
Kids can join the fun with a Seek and Spot quiz while you shop with your Farmers’ market passport – a competition for the adults.
We are also inviting you to submit recipes and take part in a 7 day eat from the market challenge. Now there is food for thought.
Our wonderful happy buskers will provide the atmosphere. Make your first port of call our the National Farmers’ Market gazebo, where the fun begins.

Our 50 stall holders look forward to seeing you at the market this Sunday. Our coffee and food trucks will be there as per usual with the Sunday morning caffeine fix and food for the peckish.

A kids’ seek and spot quiz
Fun for kids at the market this Sunday. Collect your quiz from the National Farmers’ Market gazebo at the market this Sunday and return your completed entry to collect your prize.
Shopper spot prizes
Collect your Farmers’ Market passport from our National Farmers’ Market gazebo. Purchase from five or more stalls and be in to WIN spot prizes and vouchers.
Share recipes that use market produce and you could win a $20 shopping voucher redeemable at market stalls.

Throughout the week we will be posting recipe inspirations on Facebook and follow the progress from stall holders and market staff who are taking part in this challenge.

Traditional Country Preserves
For the Early birds. From 9-10 am Margaret is having an early bird competition with a $40 gift basket as the prize.
Then from 10am – noon check back into the stall for Margaret’s sales table with ends of lines and some different products.
Annette will be back with her popular breads and baking.
Jill Abernethy under the trees
Fill your house with colourful Nerines and grab a handful of juicy lemons while you are there.
Fingers crossed Marco Minghetti will join us with freshly baked bread.
Also, you will be able to get your fun red, yellow or white stemmed bunches of Swiss Chard and New Zealand Spinach here, as well as Italian parsley and chives.
From the food trucks
The usual food trucks will be on site to feed you and fill you with the early morning coffee requirements.
